    Default lytebox: loading outside iframes

    1) Script Title: lytebox v3.2

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dolem.com/lytebox/

    3) Describe problem: so i'm trying to get lightbox to load outside an iframe and read this thread http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=19051 and changed to lytebox...

which seemed to go well, the lytebox loads outside the iframe (on top of everything; except when it does, the lytebox resizes to the dimensions of the image, but no image appears, it is blank.

if i go to the page that i have within the iframe, in the browser, and then click the link, the lytebox opens and I can see the image.

Sounds like the path to the page in the iframe is different than the path to the page containing the iframe. If this is the problem, then the paths to the images on the page in the iframe should probably be absolute.

Also, and I'm not sure if this is an issue here, but your iframe must have a name. This is not well documented on the lytebox site, but is required for this to work. However, since the lightbox launches, just doesn't show the image, it sounds like you already have this covered.

There could be other problems in addition to or instead of these, I'd have to see it in action to be sure. If you want more help:

Please post a link to the page on your site that contains the problematic code so we can check it out.

Thumbs up thanks, that sorted it

So, the page within the i-frame was one folder level up than the page containing the i-frame. i put them at the same folder level and the images showed up.

...or i'm sure the absolute paths solution would have worked also.

and happened to name the i-frame by chance. lucky!

    thanks
