    Default Download Links

Hi everyone. I am trying to get my download links to open the dialog box for saving or opening, instead of the right-click and select save target as stuff. I was wondering if this involved javascript? I am using .zip files for download. I've been programming for quite a while, but not too long ago started javascripting, and im really fuzzy on most of the simple stuff.

Most browsers will open the download dialogue automatically on left click of a link to any valid .zip file. This behavior can be (but usually isn't) changed by a user's configuration.

No, it doesn't. It depends mostly upon browser configuration and headers sent by the server (or a server-side script).

I've answered this a couple of times. See the How to make it so you can download and link to download pdf threads.
