Producing A Modal From A URL

Hi all,

I wonder if someone can help me.

I want to display a jquery popup modal if certain crieria is met via GET from the URL.

For example, url = index.php?action=welldone

If some one visits index.php nothing happens but if someone visits the url with the action I want the modal/popup to come up once the page is loaded so that I can display congratulations ect.

Can anyone tell me how to achieve this.

Well, if the congratulations is something secret, it would be better to do this with php or another server side language. If it must be in javascript you should check out this thread.
