I don't really get the point. Basically it's throwing everything together into one thing and making it this big mess of buttons. I'm sure it'll be good (stuff from google usually is), but it's not really revolutionary-- just combines social networking with productivity and a few other things you'd normally be happy to have in separate tabs.

And now I'm wishing Peter ("tech_support" on the forums) and I had finished our IM project, which would include live as-you-type messaging, but of course no point now.

But I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for it... thanks for the heads up.

so it's like IM but more complicated with a lot of feature inside.

for communication and work together ?? I don't get it.

how to get the this google wave? i'm pretty exited, i've already try but they said that i need an invitation, i think there's a lot of usefulness procedure to get it.

It is only open now for developers they have specifically invited. You can go to the page and follow the links to request an invite, but unless you have something to offer (ie, your time helping with the code), then they probably won't let you in now, but it will also probably put you at the top of the list once it is semi-public.
Also, based on the video, it looks like it is VERY beta right now, as in there's no real point in using it anyway, until it gets a little farther along.

the video is really loooooong, it takes 1:20:12, really a long speech for a super BETA product.

But, like daniel said before, google stuff is good. Just wait until it launch for public.

By the way, it's a pretty good t-shirt, with googleWave logo on it.

I am beyond excited for my Google Wave invite but I think it's usefulness will vary. There are certain people who I would love to work with via Google Wave . . . others, not so much. From what I have read so far, I don't know how general it's appeal will be once we are all over the novelty.
