    Default Newb Header Question

    I'm a complete newb when it comes to CSS . .trying to learn the basics through trial and error.

    I'm trying to figure out how this website put a few different boxes on top of their header image? (www.saddleback.com) is the site I'm trying to figure out. I guess my question is how did they use the BG image and style everything around it? I would like to do this myself.

    i think it's just something like this:

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <title>Untitled Document</title>
    <style>
    body{
    background-color:#666666;
    margin-top:50px;
    }
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <table width="500" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" bordercolor="#FFFFFF" bgcolor="#FFFFFF">
      <tr>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
        <td height="158">&nbsp;</td>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
        <td height="174">&nbsp;</td>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
        <td height="254">&nbsp;</td>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
      </tr>
    </table>

    </body>
    </html>
    good luck...
