Default Featured Content Slider v2.4 modification

    Dear Dynamic Drive Team,

    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...tentslider.htm

Thank you for the awesome code you put together for us less knowledgable members.

I have a question about the Featured Content Slider v2.4 you developed. this code has been utilized in my clients site to present his photos utilizing the mouseover option.

I would like to find a was to modify the code to perform an timed, automatic transition rather than a mouseover transition.

Here is the senerio: The page loads with thumnails on the right and a larger version of the thumbnails to the left. If you click a thumbnail the larger image changes to match the thumbnail. If the visitor mouses over the larger picture it transitions from a black&white photo to a color photo - simple enough; that all works with the existing code.

However, I desire a timed animation to take effect once the larger picture is presented. After the thumbnail is selected the photo would automatically, in a timed fashion, transition from a black & white photo to a color photo so as to eliminate the needed mouseover.

The black & white photo would load, delay 2 seconds and then automatically transition to the color image.

    Can this be done?

    From what you said:

A few clarifications. Firstly, you say right now when you click on a thumbnail, it shows the larger image. Do you mean onMouseover, as that's the default behavior of the script. Secondly, you say when you mouseover the enlarged image, it changes to another, colored one. Did you add custom code to do this, as that's not part of the default behavior of the script. Perhaps a link to the page in question would help.

    Default Additional Information

    DD Admin,

I apologize. I should have used the term mouseover instead of click. When I mouseover the picture it transitions from a B&W image to a Color image - two separate image files.

I have tried to attached the code for an example page in a text file, but to big and pasting it into this forum was also to big.

Can I email this information to you?
