Omni Slide

I was wondering if it is possible to move the menu to a specific block level element as opposed to having it on the sides of the screen. I've seen the question asked a couple other times but there was no response, which makes me wonder if it isn't just too difficult to bother doing.

I figure what I need to change is somewhere in mmenu.js but that code gets a bit too deep into the Javascript for my current level of knowledge.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
