iframe background problem

My page background is black and for a second or two whilst the page in the iframe is loading it displays a white background within the iframe. Looking for a similar problem within this forum I spotted a parameter...
allowtransparency="true"
That works fine in IE7 but not in IE8 or any of the other browsers.
Any ideas anyone?

hmmm i think that just happens naturally. because i have used iframes a lot in the past and now i'm using them again although not with my xhtml strict layouts sadly.
and it could just be the loading. and the browser figuring out what to do with the iframe.

IE 8 is more refined than IE 7 and most of the browsers don't support a lot of the code that IE supports such as my favorite scrollbar color changer. The other browsers are also more web standards compliant. I don't know if this helps you at all but hopefully it can.
