    Question carousel collision with lightbox

    1) Script Title: carousel

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...epcarousel.htm

    3) Describe problem: I'm not sure if you support this or not,
but I am trying to find the collision, any help is appreciated, my lighbox functions work fine, on a seperate page my carousel functions work fine,
put them together and .... carousel stops.

    edited //
remove the following and carousel works fine.
    <script type="text/javascript" src="lightwindow/javascript/prototype.js"></script>

I found the previous [post and updated stepcarousel.js, but still not working for me, I know its around jQuery.noConflict() but that has been edited already, is there anything more ?

    thanks

Are you using the latest v1.6.2 version of the .js file: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...tepcarousel.js ?

    Hi ddadmin,
yes, I'm using that version, I have also tried using
    1.6.0.3 prototype and 1.6.1 bleeding edge /
    http://www.prototypejs.org/download

I can give you working examples if it helps ?

    I appreciate your time

That should do it already actually, though to be frank, I'm not fully knowlegable on all the potential conflict types between Prototype and jQuery. Does the prototype script reference (<script type="text/javascript" src="lightwindow/javascript/prototype.js"></script>) on your page proceed or follow the jquery.js reference?

Regardless, one thing you can try is replacing the jQuery reference to use the latest version instead:

    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
