Default Making Rich Text Editor Work in Safari

I installed the Rich Text Editor (by Kevin Roth) which I got from this web site and got it working great, as long as I use Internet Explorer or Firefox. When I open the page with Safari, the text box appears as a tall narrow box (expandable) and no editor bar above the text box. Any idea what I would need to tweek to get this to work in Safari? I checked the js file and it seems to account for Safari, but I'm not that well versed in javascript so I'm not sure.
Unfortunately the person I'm building the application for uses Safari. Thanks

This topic should've been posted under the DD scripts help category.

Also, the RT editor doesn't support Safari [or Chrome, unfortunately]. I'm pretty sure this script works for Safari [it does for Chrome at least].
