    Default Tabs broken in IE8

    1) Script Title: Tab Content Script (v 2.2)

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...tabcontent.htm

    3) Describe problem: In IE8 only -- upon initial page load, all tabs are collapsed. Refresh page and they display properly. Tried the IE7 emulator tag <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7"> and it didn't help.

BTW: Been using this script for about a year now and it works great on every other browser! I tried out a lot of tab scripts before choosing this one and really like this the best. Thanks for all your brilliant work!

Default More complicated than I originally thought

I just installed IE8 on my computer so I could test more accurately (I had been asking a coworker with IE8 to test for me so I could keep IE7 on my computer)

Guess what. The tabs work just fine in IE8 for me. So, there is some other difference on our systems which breaks the code in IE8 for my coworker, but not for me. EEEk! How random can you get?

So, here's my website and here are a couple of links to pages which may or may not work for you.

(actually, if you just click around and navigate to any individual item description page you'll see the tabs. They are used in the center of each page and are labeled Description, Details, Shipping, etc.)

Again, what's happening in IE8 (for some users, and even then, not all the time) is that on first visit to a page, the tabs are all collapsed until you hit refresh.

I really need to figure out how to get the working again for EVERYONE. (I mean, it's nice that they work for me, but my boss sort of wants our customers to see our item descriptions too. )

Thanks for any insight or help.
