Default Featured Content Slider v2.4, text clarity problem in IE

    1) Script Title:
    Featured Content Slider v2.4

    2) Script URL (on DD):
    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...tentslider.htm

    3) Describe problem:
My slider works perfectly in every browser except IE. The problem is that in IE 6 (I haven't tried other versions of IE yet), the text is barely legible, and sometimes not legible at all. It almost seems as if IE is trying to add a drop shadow to it.

I do use ClearType, so I thought this may be the issue. So, I completely disabled ClearType, and that didn't fix it.

I've posted a screenshot below. In the image below, the headline is a link, and is supposed to be orange. It doesn't have any special effects on it or anything - just a plain orange link without an underline.

I tried removing the custom background from the slider's wrapper and that didn't fix it either.

And the white text below is supposed to be just that - plain white text, but as you can see, something is going on.

Does anyone have any ideas on what may be causing this problem?

This is a well known issue/ bug of IE6 (and to a lesser degree, IE7) having to do with its Alpha Filter, the feature used to render the fade effect. There are a number of fixes mentioned on the web, such as this one: http://jszen.blogspot.com/2005/04/ie...y-problem.html You may also want to do a general Google search.
