JS TExt Scrolling Help / Sugestion Needed

Hi,

I am trying to replace the scroller java applet on the front page of our web site www.frame4.com with a JS scoller as a lot of people commented on the slow loading time of the page (apparently because of it); but I cannot for the life of me find a good replacement.

The applet displays this document...

...a text document with HTML tags that gets scrolled, pause on mouseover, and clickable links etc. The applet is customisable (background img), colours, etc so I will need to have a similar JS script that does all of this.

Can anyone suggest anything?

I have also been looking for something similar to do this and haven't really found it yet... so I'd be interested to hear what you are now using?
