    Default Chrome CSS Drop Down Menu (text align)

    hi to all
    I refer to: Chrome CSS Drop Down Menu (v2.5)
    (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...rome/index.htm)
    I aligned the menu items to the right
    how could I adjust only the text items (not the background) to the left for about 50 pixel
    thanks for answering

    the link above provides you with the code - there is a zip file to download
    here is the css
    Code:
    .chromestyle{
    width: 99%;
    font-weight: bold;
    }

    .chromestyle:after{ /*Add margin between menu and rest of content in Firefox*/
    content: ".";
    display: block;
    height: 0;
    clear: both;
    visibility: hidden;
    }

    .chromestyle ul{
    	border: 1px solid #BBB;
    	width: 100%; /*THEME CHANGE HERE*/
    	padding: 4px 0;
    	margin: 0;
    	text-align: center; /*set value to "left", "center", or "right"*/
    	background-color: #FCF6E8;
    	background-repeat: repeat-x;
    	background-position: center center;
    	background-image: url(chromebg.gif);
    }

    .chromestyle ul li{
    display: inline;
    }

    .chromestyle ul li a{
    color: #494949;
    padding: 4px 7px;
    margin: 0;
    text-decoration: none;
    border-right: 1px solid #DADADA;
    }

    .chromestyle ul li a:hover, .chromestyle ul li a.selected{ /*script dynamically adds a class of "selected" to the current active menu item*/
    	background-repeat: repeat-x;
    	background-position: center center;
    	background-image: url(chromebg-over.gif);
    }

    /* ######### Style for Drop Down Menu ######### */

    .dropmenudiv{
    	position:absolute;
    	top: 0;
    	border: 1px solid #BBB; /*THEME CHANGE HERE*/
    	border-bottom-width: 0;
    	font:normal 12px Verdana;
    	line-height:18px;
    	z-index:100;
    	background-color: white;
    	width: 200px;
    	visibility: hidden;
    filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Shadow(color=#CACACA,direction=135,strength=4); /*Add Shadow in IE. Remove if desired*/
    }

    .dropmenudiv a{
    width: auto;
    display: block;
    text-indent: 3px;
    border-bottom: 1px solid #BBB; /*THEME CHANGE HERE*/
    padding: 2px 0;
    text-decoration: none;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: black;
    }

    * html .dropmenudiv a{ /*IE only hack*/

    I was referring to your statement of
    I adjust only the text items
    this could result in a multiple of errors or not depending on what it is and how so the link you provide wouldn't supply the info you changed.

    Are those changes the only ones you've made, none in the raw html code? I may also have read this question wrong....

    thanks again
    to simplify the problem
    were should I try to alter the position of the text in the link above
    (this zip file to download)
    (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...rome/index.htm)

    what I want:
    with right - left or center the menu bar could be changed
    I changed it to "right"
    I want to position this menu bar just on a specific place lets say 50 pixels to the left (based on the fact that it is "right" positioned)
