Need AJAX help

I downloaded an ajax file wich has a left column that gives a link and a right column that gives the output of that link. The file was downloaded from the following: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...jaxcontent.htm
When I download the demo to my desktop and open the index page, the links would not work. I looked at the index code, and it looks like I might be missing a file. I really need to figure this out for a class project thats due. If anyone can look at the files and tell me what I might be doing wrong, I would appreciate it.

how do i execute this under the same domain? Apparently the browser is preventing a cross domain request. the files are not going to be loaded onto a web server.
