    Default CSS Popup Image Viewer problem

    I'm pretty new to CSS, but I used the CSS Popup Image Viewer on a web page that I'm making. It does everything that it is supposed to do, but I put it in a scroll box. So the pop-up image shows up inside the box, causing most of the image to be hidden. Is there a way I can make it pop up outside of the box?

    Default here is the solution

    Code:
    .thumbnail span {
    background-color:lightyellow;
    border:1px dashed gray;
    color:black;
    display:block;
    height:200px;
    left:-1000px;
    overflow:auto;
    padding:5px;
    position:absolute;
    text-decoration:none;
    visibility:hidden;
    width:200px;
    }
    original css is below just change .thumbnail span which written over

    Code:
    <style type="text/css">

    /*Credits: Dynamic Drive CSS Library */
    /*URL: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/ */

    .thumbnail{
    position: relative;
    z-index: 0;
    }

    .thumbnail:hover{
    background-color: transparent;
    z-index: 50;
    }

    .thumbnail span{ /*CSS for enlarged image*/
    position: absolute;
    background-color: lightyellow;
    padding: 5px;
    left: -1000px;
    border: 1px dashed gray;
    visibility: hidden;
    color: black;
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    .thumbnail span img{ /*CSS for enlarged image*/
    border-width: 0;
    padding: 2px;
    }

    .thumbnail:hover span{ /*CSS for enlarged image on hover*/
    visibility: visible;
    top: 0;
    left: 60px; /*position where enlarged image should offset horizontally */

    }

    </style>

    Default

    I tried changing it. But the image is still popping up inside the scroll box. Do I have to change something to the HTML portion of it too?
