1) CODE TITLE: menu.js

2) AUTHOR NAME/NOTES: Daniel K. Geren (other authors noted in the script)

3) DESCRIPTION: I currently have a simple script that simply shows (sets the visibility property to visible) or hides (sets the visibility property to hidden) one or two absolutely positioned drop-down menus. The only problem is, it doesn't work in Firefox 3 or Flock 2.5 (the drop-downs show, but when you hover over the second link the menu disappears). I want to know why. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The scrolling function (original author: Jason Cranford Teague) works fine in all major web browsers as long as I do NOT have a DOCTYPE in my html. As soon as I put any DOCTYPE in my html, it stops working. You will notice in the script that the y variable is very important as the entire script uses it to position the elements below the menu. So, the way I see it, I either need a new scrolling function, or a new way to show and hide the menus. I have looked at a number of free menu systems, but most of them are worthless for what I want to accomplish.
