Default Simple Gallery and Progress Image

    1) Script Title: Simple Gallery

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...plegallery.htm

    3) Describe problem: First off thanks to whomever made this script, it's really awesome.

To the problem. I'm using this script for my comics and it works fine and all that. I have two issues though I wish to resolve.

    4) The images (first image to be exact) is displayed before they have all been preloaded. How do I prevent this? As I understand it no images should be displayed before they have all been preloaded.

    5) I wish to display a progress loading image while the images are being loaded, then fade it out and make it disappear once all the images has fully loaded. How can I do this?

The comics can be found here using this script: http://clcomics.com/free-comics/

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks :-)

There's no quick way to add a progress bar to signal loading of the images unfortunately, as it would have to be coded from scratch. It's fairly simple to hide the first image until it's fully loaded though- did you simply want a blank space to take its place in the meantime?

Yea something like an overlay displaying this animated gif progress image I use, and then make this overlay "disappear" once all the gallery images have loaded. Would this be possible with a little script hacking?

As I understand the script it uses two overlays and controls their visibility using z-index, and I have tried a few different things but without any luck

ddadmin do you have any suggestions on this? Remember it is not a dynamic progress bar thing I want, I just want to show this animated gif until the comic is fully loaded, then make this animated gif disappear.
