Popup Window Script on IE8 doesn't popup

I've been using this script for years and recently updated a computer to IE8. The windows no longer pop up, they'll load over the original page. I have hundreds of pages using this script and would like to find a solution.

Putting IE8 in compatibility mode doesn't help. I've only slightly modified the script on my pages but I tried it with the exact original script and it still doesn't work. Neither do the sample links on the script page.

Any help would be appreciated.
