I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times, but please help if you can...

I'm laying out a website in which viewers can submit a story. So obviously I need a text page. I don't wish to offer any formatting options as I want all the stories to appear uniform and plan to this automatically somehow. I'm simply offering a serif font and want to have the first line first child <p> 250% and indented for style.

My server offers MySQL and .php page. I'd like to know how to use this method. Can anyone direct me to a tutorial on this? I'm sure it's a very common thing...
