please help me get started

I've built a few sites using CSS templates and feel fairly confident with html, so today I downloaded a flash template and really have no idea where to start.

I've googled a bunch of "how to" questions, but haven't found anything helpful.
Can somebody give me a couple of the first steps to get me rolling?
So far I've uploaded the files to the server, but don't know what "connections" to make between them, to get them to work.

Figured it out...don't have the software, so I went with a dynamic flash template for now.
