    Question Alert when image not available

    I have a basic (java)script that uses buttons to browse forwards and backwards through 10 (numbered) images (0001.gif, 0002.gif etc).
    Imagine I have 10 images but I accidentally deleted one (any one).
    How can I write a script/function that realises the image is missing when i get to it (while using the browse buttons) and pop up an alert?
