muffed title/description, i know...

so i have this swf object, an ad of a person that walks across the page, set in a div.

the guy i'm doing this for, he wants it setup such that if someone is visiting the page for the first time that day, the div with the alpha channel flv video shows up. if they come back later that day, the page knows he/she has been there, and the video does not show at all.

i've seen the Display AdBox js from Dynamicdrive on other pages, though can't make heads or tails of it. i gotta say i'm somewhat new to this stuff. js, anyway.

any help here would be awesome. hell, i'm on IM if someone would hit me up there and could look at it alongside.
