Incidentally, hasn't anyone noticed that MS no longer goes in for subversions with its browser. Starting with 6, there haven't been any points. I'm not such a big fan of MS software to know whether they are doing this with the rest of their programs or not. But I think they learned long ago (rightly or wrongly) not to use point anything, at least not with certain types of software.

They do — they just don't advertise them. Minor upgrades are included with each Windows service pack. Anything bigger than a bugfix, though, gets its own major version — probably for publicity purposes.

I did think something was a bit fishy, especially after I read the caption on the JS engine speed graph...

The graph says that Google Chrome was slower than a bunch of browsers, and in fact it is the fastest. Very funny, though.
