1) Script Title:
2) Script URL (on DD):
3) Describe problem:
Experimenting with the expando script for images on our test site. Having some problems, especially in Firefox. First few images work ok but towards the far right, they bounce like crazy. Also, in IE, the background site is visible where in FF it's now(which is what I would like). Is it a problem with the code or my site?
thanks so much
I don't think there is any problem with your code really, it's more like you're trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Expando is a basic routine. Without adding some thoughtful, creative even perhaps, styling - expando requires room to move. Since you've tried to confine it in that one section, it tends to wrap and jump around.
I think that, so far, the most creative use of this routine (with both added styling and modified script code) I'm aware of has been as developed in this thread:
The current live page may be seen here:
With a more basic demo (which includes the script modifications and styling) here (use 'view source' to get the code):
The modified script is here (right click, 'save as'):
thank you, thank you, thank you!!!I haven't published it yet, but I got it to work using the samples you showed me.
I cannot express how grateful I am for your help!
All the best,
Not sure if I need to start a new thread or add to this one,but I'm running into one more issue with my site and expando. Occasionally, when move the mouse away from the image that expanded, it does return to it's original location. The test site is here. I have also attached a screenshot of what it is doing, in case it doesn't happen for you. It happens in both IE and FF, again, not all the time, but at least 50%. Sorry for my ignorance, bear with me as this isn't my day job lol

Are you sure that your background images and their containers have the same aspect ratio as the larger images, and that the containers have the same dimensions as the background images they feature?
Anyways, I couldn't get it to misbehave. What browser are you using? Is there any specific sequence of events that provokes this issue?
