Probably but, Walter Zorn has beaten us to it with his JavaScript: DHTML API, Drag & Drop for Images and Layers.

Thanks for that! As I continue to learn php and other languages, I will try to make this DD code (as it is MUCH simpler) work in multi browsers... if I succeed I will post back!
