need help animating iframe lightbox

i've been using Noah Everett's lightbox hack for iframes found here: http://www.findmotive.com/2006/08/23...stead-of-ajax/

i'd like to know if it is possible to animate the opening by using spry effects or some js framework or something.

below is a great example of the sort of animation i'm talking about, except here they are using some kind of quicktime lightbox, whereas i need it to load an iframe instead.

i've been doing a lot of answering my own questions lately around here, which uh, is better than nothing i guess.

to anyone else who is interested, i found several iframe lightbox mods. it looks like there is some animation possible, though not the kind i was looking for.
