I had help modifying the dynamic ajax content script (I can't recall from who, but it was here on DD) to include only the element with the id="current" from the target page, instead of the entire page. It's worked perfectly until now.

...I hope I can explain this clearly.
The problem I've come across now is that when I use the script to include some external content on a page which also has an element with id="current", it only works *above* that element: below that element, it ignores the defined target and duplicates the "current" element on the same page instead.

for example:

[...]

    ajaxpage('otherpage', 'contentarea')
</script>

<div id="contentarea"></div>

<div id="current">blahblahwhatever</div>
[...]

works as intended, giving us:

("contentarea" div)----------------

however,

[...]

    ajaxpage('otherpage', 'contentarea')
</script>

<div id="current">blahblahwhatever</div>

gives us two instances of the "current" div, like so:
