I wondered if one of you clever folks might be able to point me in the right direction please?

I'm after a clever thingy which will allow me to enclose a whole lot of links in a window which appears over the top of content when you click on a link - rather like eBay when you click on the 'categories' button with an arrow next to it on the top left?

Should I be looking at ajax or a tool tip type solution do you think?

Any suggestions very much appreciated
