    Question Script for Status Bar

I'm looking for a script to use in the status bar that "scrolls". Is there such a script?

I have NO IDEA what you were trying to do - or say.

I saw..... some time ago.... messages that other ppl had on their websites that were IN (or on - depending on how you look at it) the status bar, and the message scrolled SCROSS the bar. (i.e.: "You've reached the center of Doom!") The message was NOT a link to go somewhere.

My post was clear and straight forward. Yours is the one that makes sence. I've linked you to a script that has a status bar that can scroll...

If you don't think this is the right script for you - maybe provide us with an example of the script you want?

I believe that mr.holiday is describing a marquee as in http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex2/cmarquee.htm , although you posted what was as close to the script he described in the first post as possible.

I think mr.holiday wants to take control of the status bar - impossible in many moder browsers under their default configurations. Also (when it does work) annoying, especially where any kind of motion is concerned.

Be that as it may, this might work out well for mr.holiday in those browsers that allow it:

    Unhappy

Thank you jscheuer. I checked out the link you suggested. It did sort of provide what I am looking for, but I think you might be right in that I had put the code on the page I wanted, but it didn't work. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to live without a code for the status bar.

Could a possible reason for the code *not* working be that I already have some code for something else in the "head" tag? (just curious)
