shake image script won't get her shake on

You cannot use any DOCTYPE with this outdated script. Otherwise its changes to the position (top and left) of the image which are not given in pixels will not be recognised by some browsers. Also, whatever that is that appears to be in the background takes up so many CPU clock ticks that any other DHTML effects will be sluggish.
