changing mouse effect

hello i am new here but i want to know is there a way that you can make a javascript mouse Cursor or tail change at a set time like 2mins , i want to do this so i can make a cursor/trail stop after 2 mins . i will have the cursor/trail image change to a blank transparent image or maybe i can add a delay effect to cursor that looks like the default and have that override the over mouse effect if you know how to do this tell me or give me so base code

i do not have i code i am working with right now i just want to know if this is possible and if so how
