javascript form field drop down menu validation issues

This is very frustrating...the source of this script offers no tips or clues whatsoever:

Can someone please tell me how to get the form fields INCLUDING the drop downs on this page to validate and what is the bug that shows up in IE?

Ok i got it to validate even the drop down. But now it won't post the data when the form is completely filled out and there's still an error in IE. Can anyone help??
