    Default Gaming Computer

Hi all! I am looking to buy a custom gaming pc. I know there is Alienware which i believe is owned by dell, but does anyone know if this if there are better options.

As with any PC, I recommend building your own. It really isn't that hard, and you can save a ton on labour costs — especially on high-end PCs, where the manufacturers are aware that the users are expecting to pay a high price, and therefore fleece them for all they've got. Moreover, it generally takes some time for new parts to find their way into pre-built machines. Just check that the parts will all work well together before ordering — give ##hardware on Freenode a shout if you're not sure.

Ah yes, I was thinking about that after reading a Custom PC magazine issue. If I were to purchase the parts, would they come with the necessary cables? Also, are there any guides on doing this?

Just check that the socket types match up. Those two would be fine.
