Image changes

Hi. I have a number of images I want to show on a webpage in a single location. Beneath the image location, I have two "arrow" buttons - forward and back - and each time an arrow is clicked, I want the image to change to the next one... and the next one... etc etc. I also need it to work in reverse, obviously.

I have tried myself but it's not working - I don't have enough experience with Javascript. Can anybody point me in the right direction / show me which code to use please?
