PHP code to retrieve search results

Hi Folks

Just joined forum and looking for some help please. I am very new to php and I have managed to create a members area which is accessed via PHP/MySQL after they have registered their details and confirmed via email link. Quite proud this all works fine, however I am starting to get requests to update their info so my question....

"How can I create an 'Edit profile' option whereby once they are logged in they can retrieve and update their own information they supplied at the point of registration?"

The registration form populates 14 fields in the database, ie name, email address etc.

Be gentle as I am still learning this as I go
