ie8 and fluid textarea

is there a way to create fluid textareas in ie8?

What do you mean by fluid? Do you mean that they change with the width of their container or that they expand when the text is too long or something else?

sorry, I think that I may have misspoke and the error is in ie6 and possibly ie7. Mostly it had to do with internet explorer's inability to properly render width in percentages. I will need to look into this a bit further.
