Default Need help with Feed Back form

Hi all I have a problem with setting up a feed back form, that I found in a friends site. I'm building the site for a mate and learning web code at the sametime.

The problem is that the feed back form is prewriten as it would of been part of the 1 page template he got preloaded with the site. I have read throw the feed back form and can not find any problems, i have also looked to see were the links go and there is a file in the /public_html/_private/feedback.txt so all seems to be right to me.

But when I fill in the form and go to submit the gos to a 404 error.

If any one has any ideas on how to get this to work i would be ever so greatfull.

Also if you want the code to read it your self please let me know and i will post it.

Really can't help unless you post a link to the site.

From what I can see, the link goes to "http://www.rockview.com.au/_derived/nortbots.htm", so you need to change that to the PHP file you're working with.

I'm guessing you don't want to send the user to the feedback.txt file as that is in a password protected zone and so they won't be able to access it anyway.

Hi thanks to pointing me in the right direction. I found that the folder was not on the server but i had it in my cute ftp folder that i been changing the files with, so i uploaded it now i get a different error.

    FrontPage Run-Time Component Page

You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.

This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.
Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page.

di i have to just now install the FrontPage Server Extensions? as there is a function in the CPanel that has FrontPage Extensions would you know what one i would have to install?

or do i just change the nortbots.htm file?

    Thanks

    Resolved.
What i did was, upload that folder and the file that the form was looking for then went to CPanel went to FrontPage Extensions and it said it was installed so i uninstalled the FrontPage Extensions and then reinstalled them and it all works fine now.

    Thanks for you help cya.
