    Default Simple Controls Gallery

    1) Script Title: Simple controls Gallery

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...plegallery.htm

    3) Describe problem: The script indicates that it is compatible w/ the following browsers: FF1+ IE7+ Opr9+. However - when I view it in IE6, the gallery looks fine and as it should.

    When I incorporated it into my web page, it functions and is viewable in all browsers except for IE6.

    My question is - how is the gallery viewable on your web page, in IE6, but when I'm using the same in my web page it isn't?

    Here's the link to my page: http://kobyluck.mirandacreative.net

    Syntax error (red highlighted):

    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript">

    var mygallery=new simpleGallery({
    	wrapperid: "simplegallery1", //ID of main gallery container,
    	dimensions: [250, 180], //width/height of gallery in pixels. Should reflect dimensions of the images exactly
    	imagearray: [
    		["images/EM_0134.jpg", "", ""],
    		["images/EM_0180.jpg", "", ""],
    		["images/EM_0184.jpg", "", ""],
    		["images/EM_0261.jpg", "", ""],
    		["images/EM_0263.jpg", "", ""],
    		["images/EM_0288.jpg", "", ""],
    		["images/EM_0312.jpg", "", ""],
    		["images/EM_0436.jpg", "", ""],
    		["images/EM_0453.jpg", "", ""],
    	],
    	autoplay: false,
    	persist: false,
    	pause: 2500, //pause between slides (milliseconds)
    	fadeduration: 500, //transition duration (milliseconds)
    	oninit:function(){ //event that fires when gallery has initialized/ ready to run
    	},
    	onslide:function(curslide, i){ //event that fires after each slide is shown
    		//curslide: returns DOM reference to current slide's DIV (ie: try alert(curslide.innerHTML)
    		//i: integer reflecting current image within collection being shown (0=1st image, 1=2nd etc)
    	}
    })

    </script>
    Technically no trailing comma is allowed there, it signifies an entry to follow, but it's empty - an error when it comes time to process all entries. Most modern browsers now error correct this for you, not IE 6 or 7, perhaps others.

    Just remove it, that should take of it.

    Thanks - that helped, the window for the gallery appears in IE now, except for 1 small problem. No images appear, only a black box. Here's the link again:

    Get rid of this:

    Code:
    /*Start Commented Backslash Hack\*/
    *html .addClear, *html .addClear* {height:1%;}
    /*Close Commented Backslash Hack*/
    from your main.css stylesheet file.
