DD Drop Down Panel Arrow Images

Is it possible to convert the arrow images used with the toggle link to be something else, maybe a span or div with different classes? I'm asking because I'd like to use an image sprite (faster loading & less http requests) rather than individual images if at all possible...

i played around with it a little bit but couldnt figure it out. what im trying to do is display a div instead of an image. and instead of switching images (arrow up & arrow down) i'm trying to switch the class names. can anyone help? thanks

I'm not too convinced on the practicality of this. A single arrow image being toggled really shouldn't amount to much of a performance hit. If I have time and this is important, I can try and take a stab at it, but I do need to prioritize my tasks on the forums.

oh no rush. i know this is at the bottom of your to do list, i was actually hoping someone with a bit more js knowledge than myself would chime in rather than an actual admin being that this isnt a huge deal. its a tiny performance hit, but my site gets several hundred thousand visits a day, so every little bit counts (plus im on a personal mission to see if i can build a great design for this site with a single image sprite weighing less than 30kb haha. im almost there!!). ill keep playing around with it myself and post a reply if i figure it out.
