Exclamation Placement Of Flash Into (flash4d)

I own flash4d and have created my website into. However, I'm having some problems properly placing it so it plays at the load of the site. I've tried to follow the directions online, via the tortorial, and have had no luck. The Folder (after you create and save your intro) is called Flash_Design_Folder. It contains 4 files: 2 swf files, one is small and is the background music, and the other one plays the intro. There is also an index html file and a F4S saved file, which I think is the saved version for further editing.

I use core ftp and can't figure out how to/where to place this thing to get it to pay at the into to my site. I'm not going to rename all my files because the home page is named index.php (I've heard that). I just need it to load at start up (has a skip option which goes to site).

    Thanks, I'm stuck.

So you have the files uploaded but they're not playing when you point your browser to your URL?

If so, check with your host about what you should be naming your homepage (and the hierarchy of names). If your current side index file is called index.php and you've uploaded a file called index.html, it could be that index.php takes precedence.

If that is the case, you could either rename index.php to something else (that's the only file you'll need to rename) or move the code from index.html to index.php.

I'm just having problems routing the flash intro correctly. It all works fine, but I'm trying to find a way to avoid renaming the index page. I uploaded the entire folder to the public_html directory which made it its own file with the 4 above mentioned files in it. I tried to move the files into the site directory, I tried to add the code (html they provided) into the site and only get errors. I will have to edit lots of pages in my site if I can't find an easy way to route this.

If I was to place the code of the html (I'm assuming that they give that to me for this reason???) on the index.php (homepage) page, where would I place it so it played before showing the homepage?

I'm so new at all this. Totally self taught and the script I bought, i've been working on for almost a year now. It was full of errors, and crap and since I'm a stay at home dad also, I have only an hour to work on code per day. So I do what I can when I can.

    Thanks Allot,
    Rob

I'm afraid any route you take, you're going to have to restructure your site. If you're unwilling to rename your index.php file, then there are very little option to change the navigational flow of your site.

The only way I can think of to accomplish this would be to use some sort of modal window to show your intro on top of the "homepage".

Well, If thats all I can do, then I'll have to do that. Thanks for your help. I'll name my hompage, example.com/home.php, and the flash as index.php.

    Have a good night.
