Default Smooth Navigational Menu (v1.01) - Shadows not dissapearing? IE 7 only

    1) Script Title: ddsmoothmenu

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...smoothmenu.htm

    3) Describe problem:

After mousing off a menu tab the highlight fades up with the bg menu color, but then a small block of the highlight bg color stays and doesn't dissapear. This ONLY happens in IE7 (7.0.6001.18000) 64bit version too for what that's worth. Works fine in FF, Chrome, etc..

In the middle of a redesign/transition and just noticed this problem. I might be wrong but I don't remember this problem last time I worked on it which was a couple days ago??

    Thanks,
    e

When did you download the menu? On December 12th there was an update to fix some shadow issues. If your copy is older than that, try downloading the latest one and it might fix your issue.

The Dec 12th update doesn't address the IE7 shadow ghosting issue unfortunately, though worth the upgrade anyway. FYI another person had posted about the same issue. Personally I only experience the problem in IE6, but not IE7.

Before I can come up with a fix, one obvious workaround is just to disable the shadow (see inside the .js file) for now.

Must have missed the other post, sorry.

It's definately there in 7.0, at least for me... Great script, I'll just kill the shadow for now as suggested. Thanks for the quick reply.

BTW, I posted a couple other questions w/o a reply so may as well post them here since this thread seems to get read..

    1. Any easy way to change just one tab color w/o running 2 scripts back to back? Tried filding around with classes, etc. but can't get it to go w/o messing with the js file and I don't want to do that..

    2. Is it possible to center the nav block and get rid of the extra that appears on the right side?

    Thanks Again,
    Eric
