Default Need help with setting/coding up Password Access on my site...

As you may know, on this forum, you need to have the login and password to communicate via the forum. Well, can anyone help me to set this up for my site??

    Thank you ahead of time!

Depends what you want to protect.
If you're protecting very sensitive files, a server-side option would be the best, such as a .htaccess/.htpasswd combination ( www.google.com )

Otherwise, if you were planning on setting up a forum, most forums have the option to hide all information until a user registers.

Can you provide more detail on what you're trying to achieve please?

    Default well...

    Thanks for the resonse!

Primarily, I would like to progress to the point where ONLY 'registered/authorized' visitors can get in - whether it's for a forum or just the entire site period.

I currently use yahoo's basic package to host my site. According to the other threads, though, I think the host may have some limitations as to what I can do and have.

Originally, my question was aimed at a this coding...

I just needed some clarification on the steps to get this to work...

    please advise...
