Reduce the distance (height) between the headers?

How do I;
a) reduce the distance (height) between the headers?
b) reduce the distance (height) between the menu items (listed under each header)?

I don't see any appropriate attributes in the .js or .htm files to re-set. I created a .categoryitems class and set the margin and padding, but no help.
