Ooo, another Medyman specialty I try to stay away from (Flash + Flash-In-The-Pan Scripts)

See Medy's Quote from the Script Request thread:

I have a demo of it here (complete with .fla source) at http://www.visualbinary.net/files/tu...box/flash/as2/. Note that I use Lightbox++ in that demo.

That disappearing of the Flash movie in the background is a defined feature of Lighbox and Lightbox++. There are other modal window scripts that have a variable to turn this on/off.

Off the top of my head, I know that Lytebox has a configurable option to show the flash in the background. Note that this can cause unwanted results and z-indexing errors.

I'm also not sure how compatible Lytebox is to creating links from within Flash.

lol. What doesn't work about it? The Flash integration? or something else?

I actually like the feature of getting rid of the Flash in the background. A nice low-tech option is to add a background to the flash div that either is a good placeholder for that content. That way, there isn't a glaring hole in your design.

I will admit, when I first saw the site, I didn't see any problems. I thought the "gray out" was a nice aesthetic touch.
