3 columns in a div, not 3 column layout

Hi,
Is it possible to have 3 columns of paragraphs in a section of the page? I don't need a whole 3 column layout. I have a div container that I have 3 separate <p> I want in 3 different columns not all underneath each other.
Is there a tut somewhere? I have searched and all I get is stuff on 3 column layouts..
