Subscribe Form w/autoresponder

Hey everyone, I am new here and signed up because everyone here really really knows their stuff as I have read through a lot of posts and found answers to many lingering questions.
But one problem I am having is creating a small subscribe form. Just something that users can enter their name and email address hit submit and it will not only send an email to the website(webmaster), but also send an email back to the user telling them something. I am creating the form but just can't get it to send a response back to the user.

Any help would be great in this.
