    Default ExpressionEngine or WordPress?

    I'm starting coding Burn't. So, i don't know exactly which cms to choose, WordPress or ExpressionEngine.

    I don't know a lot about expressionengine but i heard it is great.

    What do you think?

    I think it depends on the type of site you're running. If it's mainly a blog, Wordpress out of the box will work better than EE for the task. Everything was just designed to look and behave like a blog. The sheer number of 3rd party plugins can also not be overlooked. On the other hand, if you're looking for a general purpose CMS to convert your existing, static web site into, EE is a much better option. It's extremely flexible in terms of segmenting your site any way you like. The downside is the lack of plugins for it- the core CMS is very flexible, but if you want to add a feature it doesn't support (ie: Ajax ratings), you won't readily find a plugin for it like you would with Wordpress.
