Despertly trying to solve JS scroller issue

i'm using the script from here:

the problem is with the left square,it wont scroll unless i open the second sub-menu,no matter how much sub menus i have.

tried many things with no success..can anybody suggest a possible cause for this?

update-the creator of the script suggested : "the height is dynamic. You might need to update the height of the scroller parent when clicking on the collapsible panel."

can any body assist my with how i do this?
