HTML Scrollbar (sort of!)

Hello I'm wondering if anyone can help me with a scrollbar. Just a scrollbar in place of an object in my layout: http://www.gakphotography.co.uk/test1

Can anyone help me to make a scrollbar that will work there in the big yellow area below the navbar? Each time I try it everything on the page goes all messed up so any help would be appreciated muchly .

My problem is more the positioning the scrollbar than getting one that works. This is the way I was trying to use it. Is there some way to position it above the image there already? Sorry I'm a bit of a noob!:
